The rail network in the Republic of Ireland is run by Irish Rail, otherwise known as Iarnród Éireann. All main cities and towns are easily accessed from Dublin and there are other rail connections from principal ports of arrival. The DART electric rail runs along part of the coast north and south of Dublin, servicing the port of Dun Laoghaire.
Bus Éireann is the Republic’s national bus service. Main urban centres are also serviced by local routes, such as those operated by Dublin Bus.
